Read the Past - Imagine the FutureRead_the_Past_logo_web

Aberdeen City Libraries is participating in the 'Read the Past Imagine the Future' promotion which runs in libraries across Scotland until Book Week Scotland in November Designed to celebrate Scotland's rich heritage and diverse reading culture, there will be lots going in our libraries with events and activities across the city throughout the year as well as the chance to enter the review competition.

Aberdeen City Centre History TourAmberley Publications - Aberdeen City Centre History Tour

New publication featuring photographs from the Local Studies Collections.

The book takes the reader on a tour through the streets of the City and Old Aberdeen with a glimpse into the history of buildings/streets and areas  along the way some of which have long disappeared.

On sale in local bookshops or direct from Amberley Publications.

125 Celebrations - Commemorative Library Cards

To celebrate the 125th Anniversary of Aberdeen Central Library, we will be issuing commemorative library cards to all new members in 2017.  These cards are now available at all libraries across the City!
