Library book pick ups

Library members are able to pre-order items for collection from any Aberdeen City Library. You can order a wide range of books for you and your family using the online booking form:

Alternatively phone bookings can be made by contacting your local library. Please note that if you have booked a "Library Book Pick Up" appointment, you can return items at the same time. You do not need to book an additional appointment to return items when collecting.

 

Arrival / departure

Staff will direct you to the Click & Collect pick up area at your chosen library.

Click and Collect is a new service that allows users to reserve a selection of items based on their reading preferences for collection from their local library.

You are able to place a reservation for items via our Online catalogue. You may only place a reservation for items available at the libraries open for Click & Collect. When booking an appointment, to collect your reservation, select the "Collect Reservation" option.

No, if you check the box on the booking form, library staff will cross-reference your library account and previous loans to ensure you do not receive any books you have already borrowed.

Yes, you can join online via our website. You can then book a library book pick up slot and pick up your library card when you visit the library. Please bring a form of ID with you.

Yes. You do not need to book a slot to return items to your local library during opening hours.

Yes, browsing and borrowing is available at all Aberdeen City Libraries.

Yes. PC access is available by booking a two hour appointment at your local library.

One hour appointments can be booked via Netloan or by calling 01224 070707 or contact your local library directly.

Yes, when collecting your items at your pre-booked slot you will be able to ask the library staff for one roll of food waste bags (stock permitting).
