Community Learning Healthy Minds
Healthy Minds Project: Who we are
We aim to assist adults who are mental health service users to access learning & leisure opportunities with Aberdeen City. We support and encourage adults with mental health issues get involved in their community by accessing leisure and learning opportunities in order to promote their recovery.
We also co-ordinate and support a variety of small learning and leisure groups in venues throughout the City.

How we can help you
We aim to work with mental health service users who are ready to move on to new opportunities within the community. We do this in two ways:
- We work on a 1:1 basis to offer guidance and support
- We offer small, informal groups in the community
To refer a client
- Confirm the potential participant has a diagnosed mental health illness/ disorder
- Complete a referral form in partnership with the client
- Ensure they are aware of what our service offers and what they are signing up to
- Pass on any relevant health and safety information to project staff
Clients should
- Be interested in leisure and learning activities
- Be prepared to attend sessions with staff and be responsible for own learning, e.g. informing staff if unable to attend and being committed to any pre-arranged courses
- Be ready to engage in new opportunities
