Citizenship Ceremonies

Citizenship Ceremonies are offered by Aberdeen City Council on a six weekly basis and are held in Aberdeen Town House in the beautiful and historic Town and County Hall.

This is a formal occasion for those wishing to attain full citizenship of the United Kingdom.

The Candidates will receive their "Certificates of Naturalisation as a British Citizen" from either the Lord Provost of Aberdeen or one of the Deputy Lieutenants of the City of Aberdeen and have an opportunity of having an official photograph taken.

Refreshments are provided after the ceremony and live music is provided by various groups including Aberdeen City Music School.

Individual Citizenship ceremonies can be arranged for a fee - contact the Registrars Office for more information. Further details and an application form can be obtained by contacting the Home Office on the number provided below or by accessing the Home Office website.
