All city centre car parks can be accessed without going through the city centre bus gates. In you're unsure, here's some handy videos of how to get to car parks avoiding the city centre bus gates:-

For the low emission zone, similar to those in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee, you can check if your vehicle is compliant online. Drivers of non-compliant vehicles can still access the city centre by using 10 out of the 14 city centre car parks - College Street, Union Square, Trinity Centre, Virginia Street, Frederick Street, West North Street, Gallowgate, Loch Street, Harriet Street and Denburn.

The barrier will scan your vehicle registration on entry, prior to leaving the car park you must attend one of the Pay Stations, enter your vehicle registration, the Pay Station will calculate the amount of time you have stayed in the car park and the parking fee due. When leaving the car park the barrier will scan your vehicle registration and recognise that payment has been made and raise the barrier. In the event that you have forgotten to pay the terminal at the exit barrier will prompt you for the amount due which can be paid via contactless payment at the exit barrier.
Pay StationsPay Stations are located Level 1 by the entrance to both stairwells and level 2 next to the lifts. All pay stations accept Visa, Mastercard and contactless payment apps such as Apple Pay, Google Pay etc. Cash is not accepted at this car park.

The blue badge holder must be present and travelling in the vehicle at the time of use.
