Pedestrian Crossings

Pedestrian push-button crossing

The Road Safety and Traffic Management team assess all requests for provision of pedestrian crossings against nationally recognised criteria by undertaking vehicular and pedestrian surveys. 

Provision of pedestrian crossings can range from a basic traffic island which halves the road crossing length up to a full signalised Puffin Crossing facility.
