We’ve been talking to people across the city about what Aberdeen means to them. This new exhibition shares these views, and some of the artworks and objects that inspired them. Together they bring to life the themes of ‘far I bide’ (where I live), ‘chavvin awa’ (working), going ‘oot n aboot’ (out and about), and a city packed full of things that are ‘weel kent’ (well known). Whether you’re Aberdeen born and bred, live, work or study here, or are passing through on a visit, come and discover what gives the Granite City its grit and glint.
Exhibition curated by Ross MacLennan, History Curator, and Madeline Nehring, Team Leader – Collections.
