Ulianka - Concept artist

Inspired by the Natural History Museum: Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, local artist Ulianka will be working live in Aberdeen Art Gallery to produce truly unique living artworks.

Drawing on the connection humans have with fauna through observation, empathy, and a sense of responsibility, Ulianka’s work involves painting directly onto models, transforming human figures into animals native to Scotland.

This body painting interpretation will capture how we perceive these animals. Just like art, especially body art, nature is fragile and beautiful. Ulianka seeks to inspire visitors to reconnect with nature and protect our natural environment.

Visitors are invited to observe the body painting in progress from 12pm. The finished living artworks will be posing in the Art gallery at intervals between 3.30 - 4.30pm.

Please be aware that this work involves some element of nudity, although models will be covered with paints.
