Feedback sought on 10th Anniversary of Spectra Festival

The organisers of Spectra, Scotland’s Festival of Light, are seeking the views and feedback from Aberdeen businesses on the recent 10th anniversary festival to help inform future events in the city.

Spectra 2024 saw over 100,000 visits across the four days (Thursday 8 February to Sunday 11 February), in the city centre, and Aberdeen City Council has launched a business survey and a visitor survey to gather feedback and evidence on how the festival affected local businesses, and the experience of those who attended.

Councillor Martin Greig, Aberdeen City Council’s Culture spokesperson said: "Spectra 2024 brought thousands of people into the city centre during the four day festival, and we are keen to hear from local businesses about how they embraced that opportunity.  We would like to know if there were any challenges or success stories, and how that affected their footfall. Gathering feedback from visitors and businesses is incredibly important and it really does help us improve future events."

Businesses in Aberdeen can go to https://consultation.aberdeencity.gov.uk/place/spectra-2024-business-survey and complete the short survey which will then be used to evaluate the full impact of Spectra.

Visitors to the festival can give their feedback by completing the visitor survey here https://consultation.aberdeencity.gov.uk/place/spectra-2024-visitor-survey

The surveys close on Monday 26 February 2024.
