You are entitled to a contractor's parking permit if you need to use a vehicle for trade and it would be unreasonable to expect the trade to be conducted without the vehicle being directly outside the property/site at which the work is being carried out.
With a contractor parking permit, you can park in any on–street pay by meter, permit and voucher bays in Aberdeen, in all zones.
You cannot use contractor parking permits in any 45-minute zones or for parking on single or double yellow lines. The permit is not valid in any of Aberdeen City Council's car parks.
The Council will not issue permits to simply allow convenience parking and the permit should not be used for convenience parking.
If challenged the driver must be able to confirm to a City Warden that the vehicle is required for the job at the time the permit is being used.
