How we use your information
When you register to the Collaboration for Health Equity launch event we will collect and use the information you provide to manage the event and to communicate with you about the event. This will include: your name, contact details, your organisation and any accessibility or dietary requirements you tell us about.
On the day we will have a photographer and videographer present who will be capturing the event. Photographs and videos from the event will be used to publicise the event including being shared on social media. If you don’t wish to be photographed or appear in the video, you will be able to let us know on the day.
How long we keep your information
Your registration information will be kept for 1 year following the event. Photos and videos will be kept longer and are likely to be transferred to the Council’s archive for longer term preservation.
Your rights
You have rights in relation to your data, including the right to ask for a copy of it. See more information about the rights you have and how these work in practice, as well as the contact details for the Council’s Data Protection Officer. You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you think we have not handled your data properly.
Our legal basis
Aberdeen City Council is leading the organising of this event and is the Data Controller for your information. Wherever the Council processes your personal data we must have a legal basis in data protection law. The Council understands our legal basis for processing your data as being part of our public task.
