Register to vote

In order to vote you must be registered.

You can register to vote in Scotland if you:

  • Are aged 14 or over.
  • Are a British citizen or an Irish citizen.
  • Have permission to enter or stay in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man, or you do not need permission.
