Customer Service Update:
As of Tuesday 1 April, Aberdeen City Libraries member will not accrue late fees on any overdue items. In addition, all existing charges on user accounts have been waived.
It forms part of the work on the Future Library Model, and how Aberdeen’s library service can best meet the needs of its citizens and communities.
The removal of late fees and historical charges on user accounts is designed to eliminate some of the potential financial barriers to using, and encourage increased engagement with, the city’s library and information service.
Please note that charges are still in place for any lost or damaged items.
Multimedia Library (over 12s only)
- 15 CDs (as part of your loan limit) £1.05 per item (55p Residents Card/Visitors Pass/Concessions)
- 4 DVDs or Blu-ray Discs £2.45 per item (£1.30 Residents Card/Visitors Pass/Concession)
2 DVD Box Sets (4 Discs +) £4.10 per item (£2.60 Residents Card/Visitors Pass/ Concession)
Lost or damaged items
Charges will be applied to a member’s account for any lost or damaged items. Books will be categorised as lost after being overdue for 8 weeks after the return date, unless reported lost or damaged before that date.
