Debbie McLeod is a fashion and textiles artist in Aberdeenshire.
Debbie studied Fashion Design at Grays School of Art and completed her Masters at GSA in Fashion & Textile Design. She has worked in the fashion industry across many different companies and most recently as head of design and production for P.R.Patterson, an artisanal fashion brand who distributed two mens/womenswear collections per year, showcasing them at Paris fashion week. In this role Debbie saw the importance of the fashion illustration process, starting with design development sketches then onto final design outcomes. Debbie feels there is no right or wrong way to create a fashion illustration but is more for you to express your own style and a way to represent your design aesthetic.
Join Debbie in this video to explore fashion illustration through her eyes. She will break down the process of a fashion illustration in simple bite-size chunks using firstly a continuous line drawing technique then onto a collage method.
