Citizenship ceremonies

We hold citizenship ceremonies every six weeks in Aberdeen Town House. Ceremonies take place in the beautiful and historic Town and County Hall.

This is a formal occasion for those wishing to attain full citizenship of the United Kingdom.

The candidates will receive their "Certificates of Naturalisation as a British Citizen" from either the Lord Provost of Aberdeen or one of the Deputy Lieutenants of the City of Aberdeen and have an opportunity of having an official photograph taken.

Refreshments are provided after the ceremony and live music may be provided by Aberdeen City Music School.

Individual citizenship ceremonies can be arranged for a fee - contact the Registrars Office for more information. You can get further details and an application form on the Home Office website.

For more information or to make a booking contact 01224 522616.
