If your circumstances change, this may affect the amount of Council Tax you have to pay, for example if:
- You have moved home.
- Someone has moved in or out of your property.
- There has been a change of ownership or tenancy.

If your address or circumstances change, you, your landlord or your agent must contact us within 21 days to make sure we can send you a revised bill as soon as possible. We may ask you for information to work out your Council Tax bill. If you do not give us this information or you give us information which is not true, you may have to pay a penalty of £50. If you fail to supply the information again, you may have to pay another penalty of £200.
Information for landlords
You should contact us each time a tenant moves in or out of one of your properties. If we write to you asking for information you must provide it within 21 days or you may be held liable.
