Christmas in Aberdeen 2024 - Thursday 14 November 2024 - Sunday 5 January 2025
Aberdeen is set to sparkle over the festive period as a new light trail is added to the Christmas programme later this year.
Residents and visitors will be able to enjoy the return of traditional festive favourites including the Christmas Parade, Aberdeen Christmas Village including the Curated in the Quad Christmas Market, and festive lighting in Union Terrace Gardens.

Spectra 2025
Spectra, Scotland’s Festival of Light, will make a spectacular return to light up the skies of the north-east, from Thursday 6 February to Sunday 9 February 2025.
The popular festival will transform iconic city centre sites into a vibrant illuminated canvas, with a programme of free artworks and events. Now in its 11th year, the celebration of light, art and creativity is firmly established in Scotland’s event calendar, attracting over 100,000 visits over four days in 2024 and contributing £2.6 million in visitor spend to the local economy.
The full line-up for Spectra 2025 will be revealed in January.

Aberdeen Highland Games 2025
The Aberdeen Highland Games will return next summer at Hazlehead Park on Sunday 15 June 2025!
A highlight on the Aberdeen summer calendar, it promises to be a day full of fun for all the family; from traditional Highland Games events, quality trade and charity stalls, stage entertainment from professional performers as well as local community groups and a range of activities that can be enjoyed by all ages.

The Tall Ships Races Aberdeen - Saturday 19 - Tuesday 22 July 2025
The Tall Ships Races will be Scotland’s biggest event in 2025, expecting to attract at least 400,000 visits from July 19 to July 22, 2025. Aberdeen will be the only UK host port for the Tall Ships Races, Europe’s largest free family festival.
