NuArt Street Art Festival

Friday 13 - Sunday 15 April, Aberdeen City Centre

NuArt captured the imagination of residents and visitors to Aberdeen in 2017 with guerilla street art and pop-up creativity. NuArt is back for 2018 with a selection of artists from the UK and beyond! 


The Tour Cycling Series

Thursday 17 May, Aberdeen City Centre

The Tour Series Cycling Series returns to Aberdeen City Centre this May! Watch elite riders take on the challenge of this hour-long race around a closed road Aberdeen city centre. 


Aberdeen's Highland Games

Sunday 17 June, Hazlehead Park 

Aberdeen’s Highland Games returns to Hazlehead Park on Sunday 17 June 2018. A highlight on the Aberdeen summer calendar, it promises to be a day full of family entertainment.


BP Big Screens

Tuesday 26 June, Duthie Park

Aberdeen City Council in partnership with BP and the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, will stage a dramatic opera in the park on Tuesday 26 June as part of this summer’s BP Big Screen programme.


Armed Forces Day Parade

Saturday 30 June, Union Street

The City of Aberdeen will welcome more than 1,000 serving, veteran and cadet force personnel when they parade through the city centre to mark Armed Forces Day on Saturday 30 June.


Celebrate Aberdeen

Saturday 25 August, Union Street

Organised by a team of volunteers, Celebrate Aberdeen is a celebration of community spirit, supporting each other, volunteering and civic pride.


Great Aberdeen Run 

Sunday 26 August, across Aberdeen/City Centre 

The Simplyhealth Great Aberdeen Run returns to the city on Sunday 26 August - sign up now for the 10K or Half Marathon! 



About the City Events Team

The City Events team are responsible for the planning, co-ordination and delivery of the Council's annual festivals and events programme in the City of Aberdeen. They also offer support and advice to a wide variety of other events organised in the City.

The team can provide help and advice on all aspects of event management and can offer support for your event by attending any planning and/or site meetings (this may incur a charge). See Planning an Event for more information about how the City Events Team can help with your event.
