Curriculum Resources and Information Service (CRIS)

Curriculum and Information Resources Service (CRIS)  provides a specialist curricular resources and information service to staff involved in meeting the educational and social developmental needs of children and young people We are open Monday - Friday from  8.45 am - 5.00pm  including during school holidays (except Christmas). CRIS is based in Lochside Academy and visitors must be escorted from the main school entrance to CRIS so please telephone CRIS on arrival 01224 241760.

Using CRIS

All Aberdeen City Council employees who work with school age children can borrow up to 50 items (maximum limits apply to each media type).

Registered pre-school education providers who are in partnership with Aberdeen City Council may borrow up to 50 items (maximum limits apply to each media type).

If you would like to register to use this service complete the CRIS Membership Form.

Topic Requests

CRIS can supply a box of resources on a particular  subject which will include book and non-book materials tailored to the topic/theme and to the age group you are working with. Please complete the Topic Request form. Once we have prepared your Topic Box we will contact you to arrange collection. You may collect either from CRIS or from a community library.   Please note restricted storage space at some libraries may delay delivery of resources.

Reservations cannot be made online however a full list of resources is available to browse on our online catalogue.
