You may have to pay a processing fee when you submit a planning application or an associated application.
The Scottish Government has introduced The Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications) (Scotland) Regulations. The regulations came into force on the 1 April 2022, with Schedule 1 specifying the increased fees for most types of applications.
Please note that new charges have been introduced with effect from 11 July 2022 applicable to discharge of conditions attached to, and non-material variations of, planning permissions. Please refer to the fee guide above for further information.
This guide explains:

- How to pay.
If you don't submit the correct fee with your application, we won't be able to register it.
If you know how much the fee is, you can pay online:
If you have any queries about fees, please contact the Technical Team (Applications) Team.
