The most efficient way to contact the licensing team is by email licensing@aberdeencity.gov.uk, if however you would like to speak to a member of staff you can leave a voicemail at 01224 070808 and we will return your call within 10 days.

Submitting applications

Please submit applications by email to licensing@aberdeencity.gov.uk.

Your application should be signed. Any necessary documentation should accompany the application. If you do not have scanned/electronic copies of documents, you can provide photographs. Images of documents must be clear and legible.

Payment must be made at the time of the form submission, online via the Aberdeen City Council payment portal 

If you are unable to complete an application by email, you may post an application to Licensing Team, Business Hub 6, Marischal College, AB10 1AB.  The application fee should either be paid online or by cheque made payable to Aberdeen City Council.  Please note that there may be a delay in processing any applications received by post.

Once we receive your application, we will review it and contact you if anything further is required.

If you are applying for a taxi or private hire car driver’s licence, we will also contact you with specific instructions on providing your right to work documentation unless you have already provided us with this previously.

Please be aware that it may take some time to review and process your application.

Committee and board meetings

Meetings of the Licensing Committee and the Aberdeen City Licensing Board are hybrid meetings. This means that members of the committee or board, staff, applicants, or objectors may attend the meeting in person or on Microsoft Teams or by telephone.
