Safe and Together 4-Day Core Training - In Person
Multi Agency Training
This four-day in-person training provides a comprehensive look at the Safe & Together™ Model. It builds domestic abuse-informed practice by focusing on a perpetrator pattern-based approach, survivor strengths, and a child-centred approach to working with families where there is domestic abuse.
Location: Marischal College, Broad Street, Aberdeen, Aberdeen City, AB10 1AB
Date & Time: Thursday 19 June, Friday 20 June, Monday 23 June, and Tuesday 24 June 2025 — 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM each day
CORE Training explores the importance of:
- Understanding the impact of domestic abuse on children and family functioning.
- Assessing perpetrators’ patterns of behaviour.
- Partnering with survivors to strengthen safety and wellbeing.
- Intervening with perpetrators.
- Recognising how domestic abuse intersects with other issues.
Participants of the CORE Training will:
- Develop skills in assessment, interviewing, documentation and case planning.
- Learn how to apply the Safe & Together Model to improve practice.
- Explore how the Model can be used in their own roles.
This course is relevant to professionals across a range of sectors, including domestic abuse services, health, education, housing, justice, and social work, not just those in child protection.
