Launch of New Microsite for Public Protection
As a member of Aberdeen City’s Chief Officer Group for public protection, I am pleased to advise you that a new multi-agency microsite has been launched today. The site is designed to support you in your public protection role and will hopefully prove to be an invaluable resource. By design, we have brought all our public protection agendas together in one place. This reflects the interconnectedness of vulnerable children, vulnerable adults and vulnerable families.
The link to the site is: https://www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/aberdeen-protects
The site is full of guidance – national and local – as well as professional tools to support you. It also features an event calendar which will ensure that you can access information about all professional development opportunities in one place. The site will be maintained actively by several colleagues to ensure that all the latest guidance, toolkits and events are featured.
This site replaces the current “Getting It right” for children website. However, we will keep that site going until all colleagues have made the transition to this new microsite.
We hope you find this site helpful and would encourage you to provide feedback in order that we can keep developing the site together.
As ever, we are grateful for the work you do to protect the city’s children, adults and families and we hope this site goes some way to helping you undertake the vital work you do.
With thanks, from the following members of the Chief Officer Group:
Angela Scott, Chief Executive, Aberdeen City Council
Caroline Hiscox, Chief Executive, NHS Grampian
George Macdonald, Local Commander, Police Scotland
Bruce Farquharson, Area Commander, Scottish Fire & Rescue
Sandra MacLeod, Chief Officer, Aberdeen City Health & Social Care Partnership
