Multi Agency Training

During this multi agency training session we will define disability and break out into groups to discuss the question 'why are children with a disability at a higher risk of abuse?'. We will then cover important legislation and local guidance before moving on to discuss working with families and the importance of understanding different kinds of communication.

This training will take place in person at 116 Westburn Rd, Aberdeen Ab25 2Qa.

The aims of this training are:

-To understand why children and young people with a disability are at a greater risk of abuse/neglect than children without a disability.

-Increase professionals confidence in communicating effectively with children and young people to ensure their needs are met and views are heard.

-Increase professionals confidence in reporting and investigating child protection concerns where the child has a disability.
