This training has been developed by the Home Office. The aims of this e-module are to:
- Increase your understanding of what FGM is and the varying types of FGM
- Increase your understanding of the health risks and consequences of FGM
- Be able to identify those at risk of FGM by identifying key indicators
- Understand why FGM continues to happen and why it is difficult to eradicate
- Be aware of your role in preventing FGM and knowing what to do if you suspect it
You should allow 2-3 hours to complete this e-module, additional reading and post-training survey.
