Children’s Social Services Christmas arrangements announced

Aberdeen City Council has announced its arrangements for social care, including Children’s Services, over the Christmas and New Year period.
Services will run as normal on Friday 23 December and limited services will operate on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 28 December. An out of office team contactable on 01224 693936 will be available to deal with any emergencies that arise.
Councillor Angela Taylor, Education and Children’s Services Committee Convener, said: “It’s very important that children, young people and vulnerable adults know where to access help during the winter holiday period. That is why we are publishing our arrangements for this period in good time so that people are aware.”

When adult and children’s social work services are closed, the Social Work out of Hours Team will offer a limited service to respond to Social Work emergencies, including the protection of vulnerable people.
