Cove community clean up

18 April 2016

An annual community clean-up has been organised for the village of Cove on Saturday 23 April as part of the City Council’s Clean Up Aberdeen 2016 campaign.

Volunteers are asked to meet at Loirston Primary School at 10am and the event should be finished at 12noon.

Gloves, litter-pickers, tabards and black bin bags will be provided, and various collections can be pre-arranged on the day.

Clean Up Aberdeen is being led by Aberdeen City Council’s Environmental Services and the public are encouraged to take part by tidying up somewhere important to their area, somewhere important for wildlife, or areas of land which are not regularly cleared of litter.

In doing so, they vow to help free their community of litter and graffiti, report incidents of flytipping and responsibly dispose of litter and mess in their area.

People or groups wanting to take part should register via www.cleanupscotland.com/pledge. For more details, or to get help organising an event in the city, call 01224 219281 or email cleanaberdeen@aberdeencity.gov.uk
