There’s just two weeks to go until Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland take over the stunning Duthie Park for their brand new walking event – the Duthie Daunder all based at the majestic and historic Duthie Park! So whether it is a gentle stroll or a brisk stride put your best foot forward and sign-up in advance and commit to making a difference to someone’s life.

This fun day out at the park takes place on Saturday 17 June so gather your friends and family and enjoy the beautiful scenes in and around Aberdeen’s historic Duthie Park.

There is a choice of walking distances to suit everyone from 1, 3, 5, 7 or 10 miles which extend through the scenic Deeside Way and for the kids we have an explorers’ trail quiz around the park.

Katie Jones, CHSS Fundraising Officer, North East said of the event, “We are really excited to be hosting this new event in such a stunning location! Come and join us for a great day outdoors and help to improve the quality of life for people in Scotland who are living with lung disease, heart disease or the effects of a stroke.

Registration runs from 9am – 11:30am at the Bowling Pavilion in Duthie Park and all routes are on flat, pedestrian footpaths which will be well signposted and marshalled.

Wheelchair users, pushchairs and buggies, clubs and groups and well-behaved dogs all very welcome. All those under 17 years old will require parental/guardian consent as part of the registration process and all children under 14 years old must be accompanied on the walk by an adult.
