Third Don Crossing update meeting
27 May 2015
A public meeting is to be held on Monday 1 June to give local residents an update progress on building the Third Don Crossing.
Representatives from contractors Balfour Beatty, Aberdeen City Council and specialist landscape designers will be at the event to answer questions. All are welcome to attend at St George's Church, Hayton Road, Tillydrone, on Monday 1 June 2015, from 6:30pm.
Aberdeen City Council Regeneration and Transport spokesperson Councillor Ross Grant said: "Progress is being made on the Third Don Crossing and we would encourage people to go along to the meeting with questions or concerns.
"This meeting is an excellent opportunity for residents to see for themselves the extensive landscaping plans that we have developed for the area. These plans are an integral part of the positive measures being taken by the City Council for the local environment."
The Third Don Crossing will see the construction of a new single carriageway link road between the Parkway/Whitestripes Road junction and the Tillydrone Avenue/St Machar Drive junctions, including the construction of the new bridge.
Work started in November 2014 and the contract completion date has been extended to January 2016.
