Two slides in a city park to get essential maintenance

Two slides in one of Aberdeen’s most popular parks are to be closed for a month for essential maintenance and repairs.

The two chutes which are on the embankment at the south side of Duthie Park are to be closed off in June.

An Aberdeen City Council spokeswoman said: “We would ask the public for their patience while this essential work is being carried out, and our plan is to have the slides open again in time for the start of the school summer holidays.”

The rest of the playpark equipment at Duthie Park will continue to be open during this period.
