Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership’s draft strategy out for public consultation
15 January 2019
Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership’s draft Strategic Plan 2019–22 is now out for public consultation.
The draft plan, available to download below, outlines how the organisation will deliver a wide range of adult health and social care services over the next three years.
It sets the focus and direction for improving people’s health and wellbeing based on clear aims, priorities and commitments – based around “prevention, resilience, enabling, connections and communities”.
The draft plan has been developed following extensive discussions with individuals, organisations and professional colleagues across the city.
Partnership Chief Officer Sandra Ross said: “These discussions helped us to understand how people involved with adult health and social care want our services to look, and what we should be focusing on.
“The feedback gave us a clear picture of what is going well, what needs to be improved and what we need to concentrate on. It also highlighted that there are many and varied needs in relation to health and social care services and we have worked to shape our plan to meet these.
“I would now encourage the citizens of Aberdeen and our stakeholders to take advantage of this formal consultation period and give us their views on the draft plan – because this document should belong not just to the partnership but to everyone in the city. We will study the feedback carefully and consider all the views and suggestions that are expressed.”
The consultation period runs until Thursday 28 February. Comments, queries and suggestions can be emailed to achscpenquiries@aberdeencity.gov.uk with “Draft Strategic Plan” in the subject line.
The finalised document will go before the Integration Joint Board on 28 March for approval.
