Consultation launched on Gaelic education catchment areas

23 August 2021

A public consultation was launched today on proposals to establish catchment areas for the existing Gaelic Medium Education provision at two Aberdeen schools.

Aberdeen City Council is proposing a catchment area at Hazlehead Academy, to overlay the existing English medium catchment areas for Hazlehead Academy, Northfield Academy and Aberdeen Grammar School; and at Gilcomstoun School, to overlay catchment areas for Gilcomstoun School, Ashley Road School, Mile End School and Skene Square School.

The new catchment areas would take effect from 1 August 2022.
