Consultation to drive next Aberdeen Car Club contract
06 October 2021
A consultation has been launched today to help draft the next Aberdeen Car Club contract before the council puts it out to tender.
The club offers pay-as-you-go on-street car rental and makes use of on-street bays.
The current five-year contract, which was won by Co-wheels, comes to an end on 31st March 2022.
Councillor Ryan Houghton, convener of the City GRowth adn Resources Committee, said: "To inform the specification for the next contract, members of the public and organisations are being invited to comment on the car club operation – to find out what works well, what could be improved and whether there are other things which people would like to see incorporated.
"As well offering members the chance to feed back their experiences, the consultation also invites those who haven’t joined up to reflect on whether anything could encourage them to do so."
The online consultation runs until 24th October.
The Aberdeen car club was launched in 2012.
