Diddly Dahz to luminate the Lemon Tree with creative ageing theatre performance

02 November 2017

Drama group The Diddly Dahz, fresh from a stint at the Aberdeen Health and Community Village, bring their latest 20 minute show to the Lemon Tree next Tuesday (7 November).

The invite-only event will see the nine-piece group perform in front of a care home audience and replicate the performance they gave at the Health Village to close the four-week National Creative Ageing festival ‘Luminate’ in October.

Doors open at 11am for the 2-hour event at which The Diddly Dahz supported by special guest, musician Kirsty Campbell.

Led by Aberdeen City Council Creative Learning Drama Practitioner, Alison Muir the group devised the 20 minute piece of theatre to explore perceptions and misconceptions of ageing in todays’ society.

The group performed their piece four times in the Frederick Street public space throughout October in front of Health Village visitors who had just been for their scheduled appointments. For some members of the group it was the first time that they had taken part in a public theatre performance.
