Hospitality businesses reminded to get in contact with ACC’s protective services team and also of help available to them
23 August 2020
Hospitality businesses in Aberdeen are being urged to get in touch with the City Council’s protective services team so officers can liaise with them for getting assessments carried out before the sector can re-open on Wednesday, following the announcement today by the Scottish Government that local restrictions are being lifted
Managers and business owners in the sector were also reminded of the help available to them with a £1million fund to support hospitality businesses directly impacted by the local Aberdeen restrictions implemented on 5 August 2020.
Aberdeen City Council Protective Services is undertaking assessments across all relevant hospitality establishments either by a site visit or a telephone-based assessment before the sector re-opens on Wednesday. The work will provide assurance that the sector has all the controls in place as required by Scottish government guidance.
The hospitality businesses are asked to complete an online form to ensure ACC’s protective services team has the most up to date information for the business and a contact number that is currently in use as it is recognised that different arrangements may be in place whilst premises are closed. The online form is available at

Hospitality businesses are also reminded a £1million fund has been set up to support those directly impacted by the local Aberdeen restrictions implemented on 5 August 2020.
Businesses or premises which have been forced to close as a direct result of COVID regulations (lockdown restrictions) applied to Aberdeen City on 5 August 2020 are eligible to apply.
