Improving the lives of people with disabilities

A series of public engagement events are to be held to find out how the lives of people with disabilities in Aberdeen can be improved.
Anyone who lives in Aberdeen who would like to make a positive contribution to improving the lives and experiences of people with disabilities in the city is welcome to attend one of three workshops.
Councillor Lesley Dunbar, Aberdeen City Council's social care spokeswoman, said: "We continue to work for people with disabilities and are committed through our involvement and discussions with partners, as well as our legal duty under the Disability Discrimination Act, and by the new Equality Act.
"We are keen to engage with people so that we can continue our commitment to people with disabilities in Aberdeen so I would encourage anyone in the city who thinks that they can help to make a positive contribution to the debate to come along to one of the workshops."
The workshops are free to attend and will be held at the following times and locations:
Monday 29 June - 5pm-6.30pm

Tea, coffee and bakes will be available half an hour before the start.
