Information drop-in sessions for non-cladded multi storey blocks

11 July 2017

Aberdeen City Council has organised a series of information sessions for residents of its non-cladded multi-storey properties.

The drop-in sessions are designed to share information with residents and answer questions in relation to fire safety and building standards following the Grenfell Tower disaster in London.

The first will be held tomorrow (Wednesday 12 July) at Meadow Court and others will follow at venues throughout the city in the coming weeks.

Residents of all Aberdeen City Council multi-storey properties have already received letters providing information and advice. They have also received leaflets about multi storey fire safety from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. Drop-in sessions have already been held for people who live in multi storey buildings which have been over-clad.

A selection of Frequently Asked Questions has also been compiled to provide a quick reference guide to more common concerns. This is available at: http://news.aberdeencity.gov.uk/faqs-aberdeen-city-council-multi-storey-properties/.

Drop-in sessions being held this week are as follows:

Meadow Court, Common Room at Meadow Court (just for this block) on 12 July, from 10am to 11am.

Donview House, Seaton House and Seaview House in Seaview House Common Room, on 12 July, from 2pm to 3pm.

Donside Court, Grandholm Court, Kings Court, Elphinstone Court, St Machar Court and Tillydrone Court on 13 July, from 2pm to 5pm, at St George’s Church, Hayton Road.
