Renewables Lunch and Learn event

26 June 2018

Aberdeen City Council is hosting an event on Tuesday (3 July) to highlight opportunities in the offshore wind industry.

The Lunch and Learn event at the Town House, held in association with Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG) and Business France, the trade commission of the French embassy, coincides with an inward trade mission to Aberdeen from French companies working within the renewable energy industry.

During the event there will be presentations from guest speakers along with the opportunity to have 1-2-1 meetings with the French delegation. The session runs from 12.30-3.30pm.

Cllr Douglas Lumsden, Co-Leader of Aberdeen City Council, said: “Diversification is a cornerstone of our refreshed Regional Economic Strategy and the Council has a key role to play in driving that agenda.

“We’re delighted to welcome Business France and AREG to join us in promoting opportunities in a growing sector. Aberdeen has a global reputation for innovation, with the skills and knowledge base in the region providing the foundations for a bright and prosperous future.”
