Views sought on Aberdeen licensing policy
26 September 2018
A consultation on the Aberdeen City Licensing Board’s draft Statement of Licensing Policy has opened.
An extensive information gathering process earlier in the year helped to inform the draft, with the statement revamped to make it more user-friendly, clear and unambiguous.
A series of licensing objectives have been considered in isolation along with supplementary policies on relevant issues.
Cllr Marie Boulton, Convener of the Aberdeen City Licensing Board, said: “The Statement of Licensing Policy is a vital document and input to the draft is welcome. The consultation is an important part of the process and an opportunity to gather valuable feedback.”
The consultation will close on 31 October 2018 and can be accessed online.
A separate consultation is also being carried out with a view to establishing a Supplementary Policy for On-Sales Overprovision, with a focus on the Board’s view that expectations in relation to on-sales overprovision would be different within the city centre to areas outside of the city centre.
The consultation closes on 31 October 2018 and can also be accessed online.
