Views sought on cross-city transport connections
04 November 2016
Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire road users are being asked to contribute to a consultation into cross-city transport connections as part of a partnership initiative between Aberdeen City Council, NESTRANS, Aberdeenshire Council and Transport Scotland.
The partnership is currently undertaking an appraisal to examine sustainable transport connections between new and existing areas of development on the periphery of Aberdeen, and in areas of Aberdeenshire close to the Aberdeen city boundary. It aims to identify and provide viable, attractive and direct links, as an alternative to private cars.
The project is identified in the Councils Strategic Infrastructure Plan which aims to enable delivery of infrastructure priorities required to support economic growth.
An engagement pack containing details of the study is available to view on the Aberdeen City Council website, and road users are encouraged to share their views and feedback on the work undertaken.
There is a short on-line questionnaire is available, along with an online exhibition of the work available, and contributors are encouraged to review the engagement pack prior to completing the questionnaire.
The survey will be available until Friday 2 December under Current Consultations on the Aberdeen City Council website.
