Watch: Videos show the strength of Aberdeen's communities and Regeneration work

Community Planning Aberdeen has produced three videos to highlight projects happening across the city which are being driven by individuals and community groups and supported by Aberdeen City Council

In Northfield, Middlefield, Heathryfold, Mastrick and Cummings Park, we show the millions of pounds of investment in the area which will create a the largest community centre in Aberdeen - The Henry Rae Community Centre, a new educational and cultural space for the community- The Treasure Hub and a number of key community driven projects funded through participatory budgeting.

In Torry and the surrounding area, the video features Big Noise Torry which has seen heavy investment in a musical programme to create life-enhancing and life changing opportunities for young people in the area and their families.

The video also highlights the new state-of-the-art  South of the City Academy, a new primary school and a new community hub which are currently being developed.

In Tullos, pupils of Tullos Primary School got the opportunity to take part in Imagine Aberdeen which gave them a voice in how the future of their city should look through the Children's Parliament.

In Tillydrone, Seaton and Woodside, we take a look at Aberdeen Community Energy which was established to build and operate Aberdeen’s first community-led renewable energy project – the Donside Hydro. This will harness energy from its neighbouring river – The Don – to create electricity which will be sold to the national grid.

We also take a look at plans by the community to turn parts of Seaton Park into a wetlands space as well as the refurishment of it's iconic community emblem - the Seaton Totem Pole. 

In Woodside,we hear about the Fersands Community Shop which is encouraging families to choose healtier options and promoting sustainable local produce.
