Winter Wonderland in city park

22 December 2015

About 2,000 people experienced a Winter Wonderland event at a city park which included a visit from Santa on his sleigh, reindeer, food and Christmas present stalls, face-painting, and a community carol sing-a-long.

Aberdeen Lord Provost George Adam opened the event, which was now in its third year, at Hazlehead Park.

The Winter Wonderland, which has been organised by Friends of Hazlehead with support from Aberdeen City Council, has grown in popularity every year.

The Winter Wonderland was held on Sunday 20 December, and food stalls included mulled wine, hot chocolate, and a BBQ. The Christmas present stalls included candles, soap, glass, Friends of Hazlehead charity calendars, face-painting, and interior accessories and gifts.

The event was free and there were collection tins raising money for Friends of Hazlehead.
