lets talk about hunger

The UK news reports that people are forced to choose between ‘heating or eating’ and during the cost-of-living crisis families are facing both food insecurity and fuel poverty. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness of and reduce the stigma around food insecurity (or poverty) so that we can discuss solutions to this growing social problem. Come along to hear about University of Abereen research into food insecurity in Scotland and join a discussion with a panel of professionals working in this area. Artist Kate Steenhauer will provide a live drawing performance inspired by the discussion which will be filmed and uploaded and shared on social media - the cameras will be focused on the artist and her work and not on the audience.

This event is taking place as part of British Science Week.
