GMB made the decision to suspend strike action for this week and to take the offer to their members. Unison rejected the offer and intend to continue with strike action in schools today (Tuesday 26 September), Wednesday 27 September and Thursday 28 September.
Given the high level of uncertainty around the number of staff who will attend their workplace today (Tuesday 26 September) schools will remain closed to all pupils (with home learning tasks available).
Once staffing levels are clear head teachers will be in touch with parents/carers directly to share arrangements for Wednesday 27 September and Thursday 28 September.
