Aberdeen’s Sculpture Trail has been re-imagined and returns to the city centre on Friday (1 December) with fun interactive surprises.
Twelve wooden sculptures will be placed across the city centre, each with a QR code printed on them. People following the trail can scan each code using a mobile device to view festive characters in their quest to solve all the Christmas challenges.
Aberdeen Lord Provost, Dr David Cameron, said: “The Christmas trail will add some extra free fun to Aberdeen’s festive offering as we approach Christmas.
“Discovering the characters and solving the challenges on the trail will be something that people of all ages can enjoy, while also admiring and soaking up the festive atmosphere throughout the city centre.”
There will be two characters unique to Aberdeen included in the trail that have entered the festive spirit – a seagull and Spotless the Aberdeen City Council mascot.
All participants can claim a Christmas treat for completing the trail from Provost Skene’s House at Marischal Square, by showing their completed trail on their device to claim their prize.
Provost Skene’s House will be open Monday-Saturday: 10am – 5pm and Sunday: 11am – 4pm.
The trail will be available to complete until 24 December.
