Hunt for the “Lost Toys” Christmas Trail Launched

Aberdeen’s Sculpture Trail has been re-imagined and returns to the city centre today with a fun interactive surprise.

Twelve sculptures have been placed across the city centre, each with a QR code printed on them. People following the trail can scan each code using a mobile device to unlock a fun new challenge where participants can find twelve interactive festive characters in their quest to find all the lost toys.

There will also be two character unique to Aberdeen included in the trail that have entered the festive spirit, a seagull and Spotless the Aberdeen City Council mascot.

Once the trail has been completed, participants will then have the option of entering a prize draw to win one of eight Aberdeen Gift Card Vouchers with a top prize of £250.

All participants can also claim a Christmas reward for completing the trail from the Aberdeen Christmas Village on Broad Street by showing their completed trail on your device at the Belgium Fries catering unit to claim their reward.

Please check the village opening hours on our website to avoid disappointment.

Aberdeen City Council Education Convener Councillor Martin Greig said: “This mystery trail is a chance for some extra fun as we approach Christmas.

“Discovering the stories and the characters along the journey will give you a real sense of adventure that people of all ages can enjoy and take part in.”

The trail will be available to complete until 24 December, with prize draw winners being contacted in early January.
