The candidates in the Aberdeen City constituencies for the United Kingdom General Election have been announced today (Friday 7 June).
The candidates for the Aberdeen North and Aberdeen South constituencies are, in alphabetical order:
Aberdeen North: Charlie Abel (Alba Party), Kirsty Blackman (Scottish National Party SNP), Desmond Bouse (Scottish Liberal Democrats), Lucas Grant (Scottish Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition), Esme Houston (Scottish Greens), Kenneth Leggat (Reform UK), Dawn Smith (Scottish Family Party), Gillian Tebberen (Scottish Conservative and Unionist), Lynn Thomson (Scottish Labour Party).
Aberdeen South: Graeme Craib (Scottish Family Party – Promoting Traditional Values), Stephen Flynn (Scottish National Party SNP), Jeff Goodhall (Scottish Liberal Democrats), Guy Ingerson (Scottish Greens), M. Tauqeer Malik (Scottish Labour Party), Sophie Molly (Independent), Michael Pearce (Reform UK), John Wheeler (Scottish Conservative and Unionist).

Individuals have to be registered in order to vote, and if not already on the electoral register they can register at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote by 11.59pm on Tuesday 18 June.
Photographic ID such as a passport, driving licence or Young Scot card is now required if voting in person at a polling station. People who do not have a valid form of photographic ID can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate in order to vote in person. Voters who wish to apply to vote by post can apply at https://www.grampian-vjb.gov.uk/electoral-register/absent-voting/ before 5pm on Wednesday 19 June.
Anyone who wishes to vote by proxy can apply at https://www.grampian-vjb.gov.uk/electoral-register/absent-voting/ before 5pm on Wednesday 26 June
