Businesses are being invited to free event to celebrate ‘Year of Disabled Worker’ on Thursday 8 December at the Beach Ballroom.
Attendees will be able to gain practical insights in recruiting, retaining and including disabled people at work, and to learn about the advice and support available to employers and employees to help a business become more inclusive.
Employers, support agencies and disabled workers will also be in attendance to discuss the benefits that people with disabilities can bring to an organisation.
The Lord Provost of Aberdeen, Dr David Cameron, will introduce the event, supported by Aberdeen City Council Chief Executive Angela Scott.
The Lord Provost said: “An inclusive workplace brings benefits across the board – for employees, customers, the organisation, and across the wider city.
“We hope as many Aberdeen businesses as possible attend the event on December 8 so they might celebrate the Year of Disabled Workers 2022.”
The 2022 Year of Disabled Workers information event is being held on Thursday 8 December at the Beach Ballroom, starting at 10am. Booking is essential and can be done online.
