A timeline to refresh Aberdeen’s Local Outcome Improvement Plan 2016-26 and three Locality Plans for North, South and Central to ensure they remain relevant and focussed on priority outcomes, was approved by the Community Planning Aberdeen Board today (Wednesday 28 June 2023).
Aberdeen’s Local Outcome Improvement Plan 2016-26 was first approved in 2016 and has been refreshed bi-annually in order that it is pertinent to the needs of the people in the city.
The Local Outcome Improvement Plan’s vision is for Aberdeen to be a place where all people can prosper, regardless of their background or circumstances.
A detailed plan will now be developed in consultation with the Community Planning Aberdeen Management Group to incorporate ideas for engaging partners and communities to enrich the process within the timeframe. The refreshed Local Outcome Improvement Plan and Locality Plans will be presented to the Community Planning Aberdeen Board in April 2024.
The timeline for the development of the refreshed Local Outcome Improvement Plan and Locality Plans ensures a robust process is in place, with qualitative and qualitative data and analysis setting the foundation of the process through the Population Needs Assessment and annual outcome report.
As with any development process, it will require the support and involvement of all Community Planning partners and communities through those vital stages, to ensure the integrity of the information contained and the priorities identified.
Aberdeen City Council Co-Leader Councillor Christian Allard, newly appointed Chair of the Community Planning Aberdeen Board, said: “A review of the existing Local Outcome Improvement Plan and Locality Plans is an opportunity to consider the current needs of the people of Aberdeen to ensure that, as Community Planning Aberdeen and as individual public service organisations, we are providing an appropriate response.
“By working together, Community Planning partners and our communities can ensure that Aberdeen’s Local Outcome Improvement Plan is the best it can be for everyone in Aberdeen.”
