How we use your information
The information which you provide for use on the grant funding application form will be used by Aberdeen City Council for the following purposes:
- To verify applicant identity
- To assess eligibility and suitability for a grant award from the Business Start-Up Grant Scheme
- To make appropriate grant awards in line with the supported interventions, as defined by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
- To communicate with applicants
- To administer funding to successful applicants as per grant conditions
In addition to the information collected via the application, we will also process and store:

We provide statistical information on the number of awards to produce an annual Funding Report which goes to the Finance and Resources Committee and is published on the Aberdeen City Council website.
We also ask questions about you. This information is voluntary. By providing this information, you help us monitor the statistical data to ensure the Council is interacting in a balanced way with groups of people with protected characteristics as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
